Golf Wedges - Premium Golf Wedges Dramatically Improved Short Game

Do You want to lower their scores?

Golf wedges are essential elements to your game, so how do you know if you're selecting the correct ones. Golf wedges are especially designed for the short game. If you consider that roughly 70 percent of the shots in a round are taken from within 140 yards and in, you quickly realize how valuable they are. Golf wedges produce a high trajectory shot when the ball is struck. This results in approach shots that fly high land softly and stop quickly. Golf wedges are branded as the "scoring" clubs because you attack the flagstick with them to produce birdie opportunities. Golf wedges are fun to use because of the many diverse uses they present.

Pitching (PW) (10)
Pitching irons are part of your set make-up and they come with your clubs when purchased. They are also considered part of you golf wedge set. A pitching iron normally has a loft between 45-49 degrees. They are used for approach shots from about 140 to 125 yards and in, depending on your swing. Pitching clubs usually have very low bounce (only 2 or 3 degrees) as compared to the gap or sand iron. They are great for chipping around the green and for the bump and run from off the green. This iron is also used when you need to get out of trouble and back into the fairway from a tight spot.

Sand (SW)
Sand irons usually have lofts from 54-58 degrees and are used for approach shots from 70-80 yards, bunker shots, and chipping. You reach for your sand golf wedge when your ball is in a green side bunker or the deep rough. They are designed with more bounce and a wider sole. This makes it possible for the club to bounce through the sand or rough instead of digging in. The bounce of your sand club will be anywhere from 8 to 16 degrees.

Gap (GW) (11)
The gap iron (GW) gets its name as you might guess because it fills the gap between the pitching and sand golf wedges. As a common rule, it is advised that the average player have a gap of not more than 4 degrees among each different club. They are used for distances of 100 to 80 yards, pitching and chipping around the green. They generally have a loft of 52 degrees and a lower bounce angle.

Lob (LW)
This is the most lofted golf wedge you can get and probably the hardest to learn to use. However when you do learn to use it correctly it can be the handiest club in your bag. It carries a loft of anywhere from 57 to 64 degrees and usually a lower bounce of 2 to 8 degrees. You will find that its uses are extensive, it can be used for approaches from 70 to 50 yards. You can use it around the green when you short side yourself, and when you need to get the ball up quickly to get over trouble.
