Custom Golf Clubs a Sensible Alternative for the Cost Conscious

Custom Golf Clubs you get a Perfect Fit Plain and Simple

Custom Golf Club components are made to the same high standards as any brand name on the market today. The problem is that there are so many sites online offering Custom Golf Clubs, how do you know if you're getting good value for your money? Lots of the sites that I researched don't have any kind of fitting system! Exactly how do they plan to make a custom golf club for you? There are certain measurements that they should be asking for at the very minimum!

Custom Golf Clubs are a Great Alternative to High Priced Brand Names!

I used to make custom golf clubs for myself, my family and a few good friends. So I would like to try and shed some light on custom golf clubs for you.

First of all you need to ask yourself what are your playing goals? Do you want to continuously improve your game? Is there an area of your game that needs help? Or are you OK with your level of play and just want some Custom Golf Clubs fitted to your swing and game?

Here are the kinds of things you should be looking for.

Length - This measurement will determine the length of your shafts. Measure from the large crease where your hand meets your wrist to the floor while you are standing up straight with your arms by your sides.

Grip size - The overall length of your hand will determine the size of grip you should have. If your middle finger is longer than 3 inches the grip will need to be one size larger. i.e.: + 1/64th.

Swing speed - this should be measured for both your driver and your 5 iron. By far the best way to measure it is with a launch monitor. Honestly I don't know how anyone can truly offer custom golf clubs without the use of this tool! This is the best way to find the shaft that is right for you.

Lie angle – this is one of the most important aspects of custom golf club fitting. It stands to reason that a player that is 6’5” tall needs a more up right lie angle and a player that is 5’8” tall needs a flatter lie angle.

Swing weight - what feels comfortable to you? This is a major factor in the feel you get at impact. They should all be made to the same swing weight.

Set make up - this is your chance to replace your long irons with hybrids if you haven't already. There should be no large distance gaps here. You may want to carry another wedge, or more woods, this is your preference.

Putter - it is very important to make sure your putter is the right fit for you. It should be fitted for the proper length and lie. A lot of people over look this.
