I think it's the definitive test of you verses yourself. There is no one else you can blame, you pick the club to use, and you make the decision whether or not to go for the green.

Bobby Jones once said that "the hardest course around is the 6 inches between your ears". Truer words have never been spoken.

Golf is a game of honour and integrity; if you double clutch and hit the ball twice, you call a penalty on yourself. What other sport does an athlete call a penalty on themselves? This is the only game where players of all skill levels can compete on an even playing field with the handicap system. Golf is a game that is never the same from one day to the next. Golf is a game of humility; you might play well on a course one day and then the next  day there's a change in conditions and the course will eat you up. You’re not playing against your opponents, but rather against the course, the conditions, and yourself. If you can beat these three things you win, at least for that day.

I have three playing partners in their 70s that are just as passionate about the game as I am, and I love playing with them. We are unbelievably competitive, the stakes are never too high, but I have to be on my game to beat them. The camaraderie is fantastic with these guys. Even if you're not having a good game you can enjoy the walk, the fresh air and your friends.

Golf Equipment has changed radically in the past 20 years.  Jack Nicklaus credits the technology boom in extending his competitive playing career for several more years. Today's technology has changed the game considerably. It has taken the long iron out of our Golf Bags and replaced it with the Hybrid, a much more forgiving and easier club to hit. The ball has changed drastically. It flies so much further now and yet you can make it spin to control it around the greens. Today’s drivers are enormous and with the right shaft, you can gain significant yardage. If you are still playing the game with outdated Golf Equipment you are missing the boat. The average player today has tons of choices when it comes to golf equipment. At this site I would like to try and give you some insight on the kinds of things to look for and to look out for. Hopefully your choices will be a little easier to make.

I created this site so that I could try and help my fellow golfer with a game that I find irresistible. Whether you are just starting out or you’ve played the game for years and are looking for different Golf Equipment.
